Swedish Days Century Ride – Hampshire, IL – Review

Our group was small but mighty this year at the 41st Annual Swedish Days Ride organized by The Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club in Hampshire, IL near Burlington, IL. The weather report was questionable, but we decided to go give it a try. As it turns out we’d face a number of weather variables including driving rain, thunder & lightning, more rain, then high winds, and finally blazing sun as we ran the ride course.

Illinois Marathon – Champaign, IL – Review

For a newish event it is extremely well organized. Packet pickup is painless and well staffed. You also get to wander through the expansive University Of Illinois ARC which is the old IMPE which I ventured to many a time when I did my undergrad at the U of I. They offered a pasta party and the Expo is huge and well attended.
