Anti-Angiogenesis, Starving Cancer by Eating?

Anti-Angiogenesis, Starving Cancer by Eating?

Ted.com is one of my favorite sites to explore when I’m looking to learn something new, which is most of the time.

I ran across this lecture by William Li on how and what to eat to effectively starve cancer cells.  Eating food like tomatoes promotes anti-angiogenesis and inhibits the growth of blood vessels that support a cancerous tumor.  I’ve always tried to eat healthy, but for the most part don’t understand the reason these food are considered beneficial.  Next on my list to look up, how antioxidants block free radicals.  I’m hoping a better understanding leads to me eating healthier more often!
